Heavenly Films is proud to present a brand new monthly film night at the Hackney Picture House, London E8 where we will be bringing you original, much loved and rarely screened gems.
The opening program on Thursday 4th April celebrates the 10th anniversary of 'Finnisterre', directed by Paul Kelly and Kieran Evans and premiered at the Onedotzero film festival in April 2003. An hour long documentary based around a day in the life of the City Of London, it has gone on to become a cult classic but one that is rarely screened in the city it chronicles.
Conceived with and scored by Saint Etienne the film will be preceeded by a Q&A with all three band members Bob Stanley, Pete Wiggs and Sarah Cracknell. A second Q&A session hosted by Travis Elborough with both directors will follow the film. The evening kicks off with 4 shorts directed by Paul Kelly including the premier screening of 'Banksy in London', a 3 minute snapshot of the artists early work. The night concludes with a Saint Etienne DJ set in the upstairs bar until midnight.
